SRAP were engaged by Tradesco (the Client), to do rectification work as well as complete the painting works on this project in Bellevue St Surry Hills. The building was looking very tired and needing a major face lift, and therefore requiring a full make over.
As a result of using rope access for this project, SRAP installed, tested and certified abseiling anchor points around the building.
Cost wise, abseiling was considered to be the best option. Use of boomlifts or scaffolding would have incurred huge costs for access and they require traffic control, council permits, and/ or a footpath hoarding. Council permits take quite a bit of time to approve and can be very costly.
Render repairs were carried out around the whole building. All patches were primed with Wattly Granoprime before applying Wattyl Granosite Granoskin membrane coating to the facades. The whole building also got a new colour scheme, and looks very modern and bright now.
All metal work had to be grinded back to almost bare metal. The areas remediated were the Pergola frames, and external spiral staircase, all the Rooftop garden handrails, and the garage doors. 2 full coats of Wattyl Epinamel Primer (Industrial grade) were applied and then 2 coats of Wattyl Killrust Epoxy.
SRAP carried out wet film thickness readings to ensure correct coatings were applied and to the manufacturer’s specifications for all areas. This all forms part of warranties given to the client.
In conclusion, the client, the Strata manager, and committee members were extremely pleased with the final result. They were extremely pleased with the way SRAP carried out the works, and how amazing their property looks now.
